D’ART OF LIVING, LITTLE CAYMAN
Debbi Truchan has been practising and teaching art in all three of the Cayman Islands for over 30 years. A resident of Little Cayman, she works with several cultural organisations, including the National Gallery, the National Trust, Little Cayman Heritage Day, and the Central Caribbean Maritime Institute, to promote and preserve Caymanian culture and heritage. At her studio ‘D’art of Living’, Debbi showcases a wide range of creative genres, including found-object sculptures, wood carving, jewellery, painting, and mixed media works.
For Cayman Art Week 2026, D'Art of Living presents Nature: Beauty Through Ageing or Destruction, an eclectic exploration of transformation and time. Bringing together mahogany ring works, functional art, sculptural pieces, paintings on reclaimed cistern zinc and more whimsical creations, the exhibition reflects on the evolving beauty found in both decay and renewal.
