Cayman Art Week Closing Event and Q&A – Cayman Brac – FEATURED EVENT
To celebrate the end of Cayman Art Week 2025, Gordon Solomon will host a reception at his gallery in West End. Guests can view his latest collection, Submerged, a compelling collection of 16x20-inch recent and past works showcasing the artist’s growth and evolution from 2010 to 2025. This exhibit highlights Solomon’s journey through impressionism, abstraction, and intuitive portraiture. Solomon will also discuss his creative practice with CAW’s Meegan Ebanks and answer any questions. Refreshments will be provided.

Artist Talk: Stories by the Sea with artists Janine and Josie and special guests
Join artists and Kimpton Seafire Studio duo Janine Every and Josie Frazier as they discuss a wider range of topics that explore both the act of creating, and the wider role of artists within the community. Janine and Josie will be joined by special guests throughout the session.

Art and the Art of Art Collecting – SPECIAL EVENT
Artists will be taking over Grand Harbour with a pop-up exhibition and evening event that celebrates the closure of Cayman Art Week. Over 35 pieces of art by Jason Kennedy, Rajj, John Broad, Ramah, Donovan Sewell and Phillip Haynes will be unveiled across participating retail venues and outdoor public spaces. Throughout the evening enjoy live music, art interventions, and specials at local participating restaurants.

Artist Talk: Artist Cera-Tan and First Officer Gisellah Ebanks
Join artist Cera-Tan Kennaird in conversation with First Officer Gisellah Ebanks, who is the subject of her large format painting in the hotel lobby, for this intimate and interactive session. The artist and subject will discuss the process of the portrait commission, along with Cera-Tan’s wider creative practice.

Art For the Kids with K Gouldbourne
Artist, jewellery designer and teacher Kaydia Gouldbourne will once again offer her popular STEAM-based art classes for children and youth ages eight to 18. $38 per one hour session, all materials included. Email here to register.

Community Canvas with Gordon Solomon – CAYMAN BRAC

Lunchtime Lecture at the National Gallery – From the Mind’s Eye: A Tribute to Creativity
Join a National Gallery curator-led tour of the From the Mind’s Eye group exhibition featuring 18 Cayman artists. This exhibited work seeks inspiration from dreams, mystical visions, and subconscious thought and emotion. Through historical and contemporary artworks that explore spontaneous creating, and the various ways in which artists are inspired, explore the expansive field of human imagination.
Refreshments are available in the NGCI Art Café.

Special Hours at Cayman Brac Museum
Enjoy special opening hours at the Cayman Brac Museum in support of Cayman Art Week. As the oldest museum in the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Brac Museum offers a meaningful glimpse into the past, guided by its motto: 'Keeping in touch with the past.' Through fascinating displays on turtling, shipbuilding, traditional home life, medical progress, and more, both visitors and locals can explore and reconnect with the rich history of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

Join Debbi at the National Trust House for a creativity session using found and repurposed materials, for all ages. Light refreshments provided.

Art in the Courtyard at Sticks and Stones
Discover the perfect blend of art and home design at Sticks & Stones Home Collection’s pop-up in partnership with local artists Scott Sullivan and Cameron Bridgeman. An unique event that brings together fine art, custom furniture, and island-inspired home décor in one beautifully curated space, guests can wander through the showroom at The Grand Pavilion’s courtyard and experience how thoughtfully designed interiors and original Caymanian artwork can transform a space. This event is a celebration of local creativity, craftsmanship, and Caymanian culture all under one roof.

Special Exhibition: Gladwyn K ‘Miss Lassie’ Bush at Mind’s Eye Centre
Join the Cayman National Cultural Foundation to view a special exhibition and a chance to view the work of visionary Caymanian artists Gladwyn K “Miss Lassie” Bush at the Mind’s Eye Centre in South Sound.

Autism Cayman presents Expression Beyond Words
Autism Cayman is pleased to present Expression Beyond Words, an exhibition curated from select works by autistic and neurodiverse children and adults. The exhibition aims to give persons a better understanding of autism and neurodiversity from the personal perspectives of each artist helping to spread the message that creativity is universal and isn't limited to those who can express themselves verbally.
Featured artworks will be for sale with the proceeds going to the charitable organisation Autism Cayman. Each work will be accompanied by a title and personalised message from the artist or parent/caregiver on behalf of the artist.
Meet the artists and their families at a cocktail reception from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Participating galleries are open to welcome Cayman Art Week guests throughout art week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Special appointments for viewing can be made directly with gallerists.
Studios are open by appointment or as part of a scheduled tour.

CAW East – Gallery & Studio Bus Tour - FEATURED TOUR
Join a curator-led bus tour of the studios and galleries situated in South Sound, Savannah, Bodden Town, and Breakers. Buses will leave the National Gallery at 9.00 am and head to venues including: Pure Art Gallery (South Sound), Scott Swing Studio (South Sound), Miss Lassie’s Mind’s Eye Education Centre (South Sound), Harbour Walk (Prospect), Cayman: Palatte to Palate at Indgo Bay (Prospect), Visual Arts Society (Pedro, Savannah), Kay Smith Studio (Breakers), Gram Bella’s (North Side) and Beam Reach (East End) before looping back to George Town.
Although not a scheduled stop on the bus tour, be sure to visit Charles Long Studio (Pedro) and The Expression Beyond Words exhibition by Autism Cayman (Island Primary)

Studio Tour: Visual Arts Society
The Visual Arts Society, Cayman’s longest-running art organisation, will be hosting an Open House on Saturday. Enjoy live pottery wheel demonstrations along with a special exhibition by VAS member-artist at their Watler House Studio at Pedro St. James.

The Art of Brunching at Vida Cayman
Vida, Cayman’s premiere boutique luxury hotel, welcomes patrons to a special brunch in celebration of Cayman Art Week 2025. Enjoy canapés and a welcome sorrel spritz, along with drink specials and farm-inspired menu offerings from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Breakfast will be served all day at Nourish, Vida’s in-house dining experience, and a mini farmers market will showcase produce and locally made goodies from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Rockers Ball at Mutiny
Join Mutiny, Cayman’s premier streetwear atelier and label, for Rockers Ball featuring Plus Givens, a multifaceted creative professional known for his contributions to hip-hop, visual arts, and street culture. Shaping contemporary street culture by integrating visual art, fashion, and storytelling into a cohesive and impactful narrative, witness his vision come to life in Cayman Islands’ first art district. Kirkman Studios Cocktail Reception
Join featured artists Ethan Kirkman, Iain MacRae, Henry Hoy, Yonier Powery, and Aimee Randolph for a reception celebrating their exhibition The Pendulum of Duality. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the artists, and a brief discussion by the artists will take place at approximately 8:00 pm. Prosecco, wine, and charcuterie will be served.

CAW Central (Central George Town) – FEATURED TOUR
Experience the very best of George Town galleries and studios through the CAW Central tour. Confirmed venues include Ruby Marr at Timezone, Goodness Gallery, Sandon Feat Gallery, Smooth Sailing at Le Vele, Guy Harvey Gallery, Claire At The Beach Studio and dready, Crucial Ink Gallery, Ngara Gallery, The Art of Healing at Adonis House, 3 Girls and a Kiln, Art Nest Creative Studio, Martlet design Studio, The Mural at Sea Rock, the Cayman Islands National Museum, Tangled World II at The Wicket at Cricket Square, Rockers Bsll at Mutiny and Kirkman Studios.
The venues can be accessed on foot or via a free hop-on/hop-off bus tour (sponsored by Cricket Square), leaving from the Hub at Cardinall Avenue or Cricket Square and running on a loop throughout the evening (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm) from participating venues. Select George Town eateries will also be extending discounted dining as part of the initiative. The experience can be navigated either via bus tours or by using the walking map that will be provided from the CAW hub on Cardinall Avenue.

Live Carving Session at Ngara Galleries
Join Ngara Galleries for a live carving session following the theme of the gallery’s CAW 2025 exhibition theme Whispers in Stone: Echoes of The Earth. Session will be led by Ngara’s resident artist, Macloud Chiwawa, and Holly Nehra, Cayman Prep art student. Refreshments will be served starting at 5:30pm.

‘Conversations with Popular Art’ at the Cayman Islands National Museum
Enjoy late-night entry to the Cayman Islands National Museum for CAW 2025. In addition to touring through the museum’s permanent collections, visit their new exhibition Conversations with Popular Art featuring works by local artists Gladwyn K. “Miss Lassie” Bush, Edrid Banks Jr., Harvey Ebanks, Edney McLean, Virginia Foster and Charles Long among others.

CEC Digital Exhibition and Special Reception
Immerse yourself in the digital art world with this special exhibition at Signal House that stretches across the CEC headquarters. Featured artists include Rudolph Johnson (digital installation Wreck of the Ten Sails in the Innovation Room), Michael Mothen “Bananaartkid”(digital exhibition in the auditorium), Shane Aquârt “Dready” (artwork display in 2474 Café), Kristi Anderson (digital art display in the Green Room).
The run of show includes a curated programme of interventions and discussions featuring the exhibiting artists, along with The Sunny Art Collective Info Booth with Aleksandra Andzic and Fernando, Cayman-style games with Kerwin Ebanks, and a cash bar. RSVP for the special panel discussion here.
