UK-born David Bridgeman moved to the Cayman Islands in 1987 to teach and has pursued art full-time since 2005. The highly collected artist’s work is strongly autobiographical, containing elements from his early childhood and teenage years, which he spent 'immersed in the Oxfordshire landscape'. He has always been interested in maps, symbols, and codes and is fascinated by the marks and scars human involvement leaves on our environment. In 2014, he was given his first solo exhibition (The Road Not Taken) by the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. Studio tours by appointment only.
