This artist-led workshop invites participants to explore the timeless practice of still life drawing in the relaxed setting of the Cayman Farmers’ Market. Led by mother-daughter duo Kathryn Elphinstone and Kaitlyn Elphinstone, the session is open to all levels and focuses on slowing down, observing closely and experimenting with a range of materials.
Working from a curated selection of market produce and objects, participants will explore key elements such as line, shape, colour, light and composition. With guided prompts and hands-on support, the workshop encourages creative expression in a welcoming, small-group environment.
All materials are provided, including paper, pencils, charcoal, pastels, inks and watercolours, and participants will receive a take-home art pack. Light refreshments will be available, with market vendors open throughout.
Cost: CI$65 (materials and refreshments included)
Event Partners: The Hamlin Stephenson Farmers Market, The Office of the Deputy Premier, Cayman Art Week and Notable Island
